It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donald Oscar Bokhart (Essexville, Michigan), born in Bay City, Michigan, who passed away on March 10, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Naert and Almira Catherine Bokhart (Wiedyk); his parents-in-law, Paul and Marie Schubert; his sisters, Laura Darling (Joe), Nancy Beehler (Walter) and JoAnn Jasman; his brother-in-law Chuck Scheffner; his nieces, Julie Hembling and Jennifer Wasek; and his great-nephew Joshua Jasman.

He is survived by: his wife Maureen Bokhart; his daughter Cathy Lyons; his grandchildren, Autumn and Adalyn Lyons; his in-laws, Karen Scheffner, Barb Hembling (Dick), Pat Lightfoot (Bob), Paula Wasek (Art), Bill Schubert (Betty), Mary Wegener (Lee), Bob Schubert (Mary Lynn) and David Schubert (Marilyn); his nephews, Scott Hembling, Joey Darling and Bob Darling; and also, Bob Peterson, Brenden and Ava. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Good Samaritan Rescue Mission or Hidden Harvest.
