He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Sumeren and Grace Van Sumeren (VanTol); his son Louis Van Sumeren; his grandson Branden Van Sumeren; and his brothers, Bill Van Sumeren and Dan Van Sumeren (Gail).
He is survived by: his spouse Belma R. Livingston; and his children, Cris Van Sumeren (Sue), Mary Lou Navarre (Tom), David Van Sumeren (Joni) and Russ Van Sumeren (Tina). He is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
