It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mark Steven Schanhals of Essexville, Michigan, born in Saginaw, Michigan, who passed away on April 11, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Emanuel Schanhals and Clara Schanhals; and his brothers, Emanuel Jr. and Gary Schanhals. He is survived by : his wife Bonnie Anne Sobczak; his son Steven Schanhals (Candice); and his grandsons, Andrew S. Hawkins and Christopher M. Schanhals. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services (821 N Pine Rd, Essexville, MI 48732).
