She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Stanton and Evelyn Stanton (Stothard); her husband Lefty; her son Loren Van Sumeren; her grandson Rhett Van Sumeren; her brother Arthur Stanton; and her sister-in-law Gloria Schneider.
She is survived by: her son Louis Van Sumeren; her grandchildren, Jill Van Sumeren, Erik Van Sumeren (Cassandra), Stephanie Austin (John Ryczek), Alyssa Manns (Dallas), Cody Van Sumeren (Courtney), Cory Van Sumeren and Addisyn Van Sumeren; and her great grandchildren, William, Devin, Nathan, Averi and Emelia.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services – Bay County (821 N Pine Rd, Essexville, MI 48732). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
