She was predeceased by : her parents, Emory Schian and Myrtle Schian; her husband Frank McAlpine; her brothers, Marvin, Carl Schian and Willard Greenleaf; and her sisters-in-law, Barbara Greenleaf and Joyce Nicol.

She is survived by : her daughters, Linda Redmond (Bryan) and Lisa Hess; her grandsons, Nick Hess, Doug Hess (Shaneen) and Justin Hess; her great grandchildren, Logan, Parker, Emilee and Allie; and her sister-in-law Vera Schian. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
