He was predeceased by : his parents, Wilbur Shelly and Alice Shelly of Hazel Park, Michigan.; and his brothers, Bill and Jay Shelly. He is survived by : his wife Pam Shelly (Durbin); his children, Christi Moncrief (Shelly) of Texas, Bradley Shelly of Michigan and Miranda Shelly of Virginia; and his siblings, Jean Kamel and Helen Welch (Mitzi). He is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
