He was predeceased by: his brother Richard Govan (Linda); and his parents, Richard Govan and Patricia Govan. He is survived by: his spouse Lee Ann; his child Kara Rose; his siblings, Thomas (Tracy), James (Mary) and Dianne Linnen (Daniel); and his siblings-in-law, Mark Flynn (Roxanne) and Colleen Flynn. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends.
