It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy Bigelow Shaughnessy formerly of Flint, Michigan, who passed away on July 28, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her daughter Nancy Shaughnessy; her parents, E. J. Bigelow and Mary B. Bigelow; her children, Suzanne (Steven Hansmire) of East Sandwich, Mass., Catherine Shaughnessy of West Bloomfield, James Shaughnessy (Calif), Thomas Shaughnessy (Catherine), Richard Shaughnessy (Calif), Maureen (Jon Merchant) of Farmington Hills, Daniel Shaughnessy (Mary) and Patrick Shaughnessy (Karen); her grandchildren, Olivia (Paul Potter) of Bethesda, Max Hansmire (Beth), Tyler Hansmire (Sara), James Shaughnessy (Lauren Wilmot) of San Francisco, Robert Shaughnessy (Diana), England, Anne Shaughnessy (Robert McFarlane) of Brooklyn, NY, Caitlin Shaughnessy (Chris DeNunzio) of New York, Nina (Russ Gaubatz) of Yorba Linda, Calif., Maria Shaughnessy of Winter Park, Fla., Adam Shaughnessy of Detroit, Colleen (Jeremy Werner) of Chicago, Daniel Shaughnessy of Coronado, Calif., Keelin Shaughnessy of Brooklyn, NY, Jeffrey Merchant (Veronika), Colo, Mallerie Merchant of Royal Oak, Timothy Shaughnessy of Marquette and Kelly Shaughnessy of Marquette; her husband James Alfred Shaughnessy of West Bloomfield; and her siblings, Alice Jane Keats (Bigelow) of San Leandro, Calif. and Roderick Bigelow of Flushing, Mich.. She was also cherished by 18 great grandchildren.
