It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nathaniel Doorlag of Galesburg, Michigan, who passed away on October 1, 2025, at the age of 44, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Nathaniel may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Nathaniel touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mark Doorlag and Rebekah Doorlag (Diller).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Avink, McCowen & Secord Funeral Home (120 S Woodhams St, Plainwell, MI 49080). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Northeastern Baptist Church (6536 E G Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49048).
