She was predeceased by: her parents, Claud Swafford and Virgie Swafford (Herrell); her son Joseph Cipcic Jr.; and her siblings, Rita Bray and Rodger Swafford.
She is survived by: her husband Stanley Polak; her daughter Kimberly Evans (Stephan); her grandsons, Tyler and Sean Evans; and her siblings, Mary Carmichael, Betty Burns of Battle Creek, William Swafford (Cindy) of Bellevue and Jim Swafford (Dixie) of Hastings. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens (1490 E Michigan Ave, Battle Creek, MI 49014).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may go to Helen Devos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan and Kairos Dwelling in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
