He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Thakor Dayal Patel and Jeliben Thakor Patel; his wife Ela Dilip Patel; and his children, Chetan Thakor (Poonam Thakor) and Dipa Patel (Prashant Patel). He was also cherished by four grandchildren.
