He was predeceased by : his parents, Ike I. Cole and Ruby Cole (Ostrander); and his siblings, Richard, Leonard, Vernie, Arbutus, Betty Lou and Geraldine.

He is survived by : his wife Maureen Joppich; his children, Eugene Cole (Karen), Thomas R. Cole of Newberry, MI and Leisa F. Harris of New Boston, MI; his sisters, Rosetta Evans (Fred) of West Branch, MI and Mary Richards; and his grandchildren, Ashlee Harris and Kristopher Cole.
