He was predeceased by: his wife Emogene Hillier; his daughter Paula Bailey; his parents, Ernest Hillier and Lois Hillier; and his siblings, Max Hillier, Jack Hillier, Wilbur Hillier, Naomi Tarrant, Nellie Huber and Doris Leach.

He is survived by: his children, Wendy Mills (Tim) of Sand Lake and Elias Hillier (Lisa) of Gladwin; his son-in-law James Bailey of Gladwin; and his sister Kathleen Webb of Houghton Lake.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be used according to the wishes of the family.
