She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Chester Grove and Annabell Grove (Morgan); her children, Steven Thorp (Paula) of Holly, Brian Thorp of Cement City, Scott Thorp (Donna) of Redford and Daren Thorp of Kentucky; and her grandchildren, Greg Thorp (Randi) of Holly, Krystal Mosher (Michael) of Grand Blanc, Kalam Thorp of Livonia, Austin Thorp of Royal Oak, Patti Vassas (Bill) of Farmington Hills, Laura Carl (Josh) of Ypsilanti, Tommy Thorp (C. G.) of Cement City, Amy Thorp of Jackson, Curtis Thorp (Kenzie) of Brooklyn, Kelly Herbert (Nate) of Kentucky, Amanda Thorp of Georgia and Julie Thorp of Georgia. She was also cherished by 18 great-grandchildren.
