He was predeceased by: his siblings, Dorothy Durbin Breitenbach of Harriet Contardo, Alvin Schmitzer (Jean), Robert Schmitzer and Norman Schmitzer (Maxine). He is survived by: his wife Suzie; his children, Michael James Schmitzer (Margie Kipp) of Battle Creek and Linda Kay Tuttle (Joseph) of Atlanta, GA; his grandchild Jacob Tuttle; his siblings-in-law, Carlo Contardo of Nashville, TN and Elly Schmitzer of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Jake, Lauren and Papa; and also, Ted Tuttle and Judie Tuttle of Battle Creek.
