He was predeceased by: his parents, William Trumpie and Eva Trumpie (Fynn); his grandsons, Joshua Trumpie and Jason; and his siblings, Allen, Ruthann Trumpie, Geraldine Trumpie Snyder Moczydlowski and Richard Trumpie.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Trumpie (Toering); his children, Brian (Phyllis Trumpie), Keith (Brenda Trumpie), Kenneth Trumpie (late Theresa), Brenda Friend, Jeff (Julie Trumpie) and Jody Trumpie; his brother Warren (Mary Trumpie); his sister-in-law Sharon Trumpie; and his great grandchildren, Shane Knight, Valerie, Wayne Sumner, Nathan Enders, Sarah, Justin Hardy, Henry, Anna Trumpie, Sam, Katie Trumpie, Ashley Trumpie, Austin Hudson, Rachel Trumpie, Elizabeth Friend, Nathaniel Friend and Annika Friend. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In honor of Duane the family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital—a cause close to his heart.
