He was predeceased by: his wife Marjorie; and his sister Delphine Rehner. He is survived by: his children, Patricia (Dale Cook), Kathryn (Mark Oberlin), Ruth (James Billings) and Thomas (Cathleen Dykhouse); his siblings, Thelma Brock, Sharon Hill, Tom and Diann Dykhouse; and his brother-in-law Norman. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
