It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Irene Penning of Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on August 26, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her former husband Frederick Frieswyk; and her children, James Penning and Sheryl Hoogendyk. She is survived by: her husband Robert D. Penning; her children, Judy Winkle (Bernie), Robert Penning (Bonnie), Merri and Kathy Klooster (Gregg); and her children-in-law, Marjorie Penning and Simon Hoogendyk. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial contributions to Holland Home, Faith Hospice or Brookside Christian Reformed Church Education Fund.
