He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Haney and Lucile Brown (Summers); and his sister Judith Haaksma Feldpausch (Richard). He is survived by: his wife Mary of Grand Rapids; his children, Susan Brown-Shafii (Ata) of Geneva, Sarah Williams (Kelly) of Mariposa, Michael Brown (Samia) of Ada, Tom Brown of Dekalb and Rex Brown (Lisa) of Hastings; and his friend Robert Schirmer (Georgette).
