She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Harold; her parents, John DeBoer and Dora DeBoer; her daughters, Diane DeHaan (Mark), Ellen Thomasma (Norm), Carole Valk (Albert) and Joan; her sisters, Irene Kwantes and Dorothy Zylstra Sheler; and her sister-in-law Jeanne Kuizema Rypma (Don). She was also cherished by 6 grand children and 7 great grand-children.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Oakdale Park Christian Reformed Church.
