She was predeceased by : her father David Romero. She is survived by : her mother Yolanda Romero; her daughters, Vivian Romero Dean (Michael), Maria Virginia Romero Lisboa (Alejandro) and Joanna Romero; her grandchildren, Valentina Lisboa Romero, Diego and Vivian Dean; her siblings, Ixora Romero of Montiel, David, Nerio and Carlos Romero; and her siblings-in-law, Hector Montiel, Rosmary, Lisbeth and Lizbeth. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA) or the Michigan Ovarian Cancer Alliance (MIOCA).
