She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Towle and Gladys Towle; and her husband William "Bill" Weidenfeller. She is survived by: her sons, Dr. John Weidenfeller (Sharon) and Peter Weidenfeller (Jennifer); her stepson Jon Jr. (Kimberly Henson); and her grandchildren, Drew Weidenfeller, Lauren Weidenfeller, Patrick Fischer, Kelci Henson-Forslund, Anna Mainero (Cameron Dice) and David Mainero (Mariah Reading).

Visitation was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Service (4291 Cascade Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the First Park Congregational Church (10 E Park Pl NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503).
