She was predeceased by: her parents, John Heaney and Margaret Heaney (Leonard); her grandmother Bo; her husband James; and her siblings, Michael Heaney and Barbara Houri.
She is survived by: her children, James Bouwhuis (Jacqueline), Kathy Morgan (Ron), Mary Lewandoski (Pete), Patty Bouwhuis, Kevin Bouwhuis (Karen), Brian Bouwhuis (Mary), John Bouwhuis (Gina), Tim Bouwhuis (Denise) and Bernie Bouwhuis (Tina); her siblings, John Heaney and Margaret Borg; and her siblings-in-law, Richard, Gerald Bouwhuis, Vera and Jackie Bouwhuis. She is also survived by 37 Grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A rosary was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 8:00 PM at the Reyers North Valley Chapel (2815 Fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Jude Catholic Church (1120 4 Mile Rd NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525).
Memorial Donations may be made to St. Jude Catholic Church or Ship of Hope.
