She was predeceased by: her husband Gary; and her siblings, Brent Monsma, Norman Monsma and Crystal Harris. She is survived by: her children, Jeff, Danetta Hoogerheide of Rockford, Susan and Brian Vandermate of Grand Rapids; her grandchildren, Cody Hoogerheide (Desirae), Shelby Hoogerheide, Katelyn Cardinal (Zack), Evan Vandermate (Lemi Vargas), Aaron Vandermate, Kaden Vandermate, Alayna Vandermate (Braden Tolsma) and Lauren Cali Vandermate; her son Dan; her siblings, Lorain Krenecki, Mary Daling and Kathy VanVliet (Andy); and her brothers-in-law, Greg Hoogerheide (Jenny) and Garold Hoogerheide (Diana). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Heritage Life Story Funeral Homes (2120 Lake Michigan Dr NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Corewell Health Hospice.
