It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susan Thoits (Grand Rapids, Michigan), who passed away on November 17, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Susan Thoits to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by : her husband Robert Thoits; her parents, Raymond Murray and Marjorie Murray (Evans); and her sisters, Cynthia Jack (Thomas) and Nancy Roberts (John).
She is survived by : her sons, David Thoits (Gaby) of Claremont, CA, Michael Thoits (Diane), Jonathan Thoits (Janet) of Grand Rapids and Timothy Thoits (Jeannie) of Grand Rapids; her grandchildren, Chris Thoits (Staci), Tom Thoits (Corina), Joe Thoits (Drea), Phil Thoits (Sara), Bobby Thoits (Dani), Yvonne Thoits, Alex Thoits, Katie Thoits, Annie Thoits, Lauren Bentley (Caitlin), Brandon Bentley (Megan), Tom Pare (Nicole), Emily Pelech (Dan), Kimberley Pare and Sam Pare; and her sister-in-law Mary Thoits. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, 6 great, great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
She keenly looked forward to the weekly bridge game at Cook Valley and was thrilled to play bridge with grandchildren this summer, which she thought helped her survive the pandemic shutdown.
