He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Herr and Estella Herr; his parents-in-law, Cyril and Helen Cairns; his brother-in-law Michael Pickem; and his friend Robert "Turk'' Coykendal.

He is survived by : his wife Sue Herr; his children, Tabitha Herr-Bush (Chad) and Todd Herr (Michelle); his grandson Kristopher Herr; his sister Darlene Pickem; his sister-in-law Gail Spencer; and his pets, Buttons and Ralphie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
