It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gesena Scholma (Grandville, Michigan), who passed away on October 17, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Robert M. Scholma; her son-in-law Larry Groothuis; her grandson Jayson Allen Scholma; her great grandchild Grace Elizabeth Scholma; and her siblings, Neil VanderMarkt and Wilma Vredevoogd.

She is survived by : her children, Nancy Groothuis, James Scholma (Lois), Joann Borgerding (Phil), Donald Scholma (Sharon), Robert Scholma (Sue) and Allen Scholma (Janna); her siblings, Ruth Roon (Bill), Richard VanderMarkt and Mildred VanderLaan (Jack); and her fathers-in-law, Harold Scholma (Ruth) and Roger Wierenga. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
