He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie Minnema; his parents, Gerrit Minnema and Susie Minnema; and his brothers, Mike Minnema, Bill Minnema and Gil Minnema.
He is survived by: his children, James A. Minnema (Mary), Cindy Bystra (Lee Medema) and Karen Opple (Greg); and his grandchildren, Tim Minnema (Jamie), Nick Minnema (Amanda), Aaron Minnema, Tiffany Bystra, Tanner Opple (Nicole) and Mason Opple. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cook Memorial Chapel (4235 Prairie St SW, Grandville, MI 49418).
