It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeanne Marie Beauvais (Grandville, Michigan), who passed away on April 18, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert E. Beauvais and Ruth Beauvais; and her brother Robert A. Beauvais. She is survived by: her brother Bruce Beauvais (Susan). She is also survived by many cousins and friends.

When COVID-19 hit Michigan, she became a volunteer contact tracer working two-hour shifts virtually every day.

In honor of Jeanne and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Grandville Historical Commission.

“Jeanne approached me a few decades ago regarding my efforts on the Carpenter Cousins Project and its related genealogy. She asked intelligent and pointed questions regarding Y-DNA testing and those questions spread toward other types of DNA tests. And there were times when I did not know the answer she asked about! I had to research and ask my gurus in the field to answer her questions. Jeanne was a smart Lady and tenacious on the tasks she assigned to herself. She will be missed by many.”
