He is survived by : his children, Patrick Aten (Carrie), Julie Mieras, Christine Allen and Kimberly Smith; his grandchildren, Kyleigh, McKenzie, Hannah, Lucas, Isaac, Elliott, Nicolas, Daniel, Joseph, Jesse and Jacob; his great grandchildren, Jaynie and Bennett; and his siblings, Ruth Mesbergen, Ken Aten (Judy), Greg Aten (Gail) and Janice Aukeman (James). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
