He is survived by: his grandchildren, Alec, Madison, Raegan and Grady Ward; and his sons, Shayne Ward (Julie) of Edmore and Steve Ward (Stacy) of Greenville. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his honor may be given to Corewell Health Hospice.
