He was predeceased by: his parents, Beverly MacConnachie (Eidt) and James MacConnachie; and his siblings, Doug, Cerene and Dan.
He is survived by: his wife Sara; his children, Krystin, Meghan, Ally (Jason) and Christopher (Ashley); his grandchildren, Tony, Sal, Gigi, Dean, Henry and James; and his siblings, Kathleen, Kevin, Bill, Maureen, Ian and Roseann.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Verheyden, Inc. (16300 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Park, MI 48230). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. The lying in state will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Ambrose Church (15020 Hampton St, Grosse Pointe Park, MI 48230). A Mass will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In his later years, he devoted his time to charity (Camp Quality of Michigan), teaching kids how to snow ski on the hills of Boyne Mountain and Otsego.
