She was predeceased by : her parents, Lloyd R. Rivers and Vera C. Rivers (Yakes); her husband Kenneth G. Holmes; and her siblings, Dale, Stanley, Forest, Ronald, Warren, Norman Rivers, Elsie Stone and Sharon Goul.

She is survived by : her children, Kathy Smith (Doug), Julie Mills (David) and Gary Holmes (Deanna); her grandchildren, Stacey Moran, Melissa Lundberg, Jesse Smith (Rachel), Jill Wampler (Jeff), Rebecca Vleit, Hannah Holmes (Chris Holden), Cameron Holmes and Clara Holmes; and her great grandchildren, Daniel, Cassidy Moran, Logan, Conner, Colton Smith and Willard Vleit.

Donations can be made in her memory to the Dementia Society of America.
