He was predeceased by : his parents, Gillis Sale and Dena Sale (Jansen); and his wife Joyce Sale. He is survived by : his daughters, Kim Glass (Rod) of Benton Louisiana and Kristi Sale Gentry of Palmyra Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Jenna Bagley (Dusty), Amanda Boyd (Bryant), Zachary Glass (Morgan), Kasey Gentry (Molly) and Ashleigh Gentry; his great grandchildren, Ella Grace, Elizabeth, Embree Boyd, Brilee, Walker, Luke Henry, Georgia Kate Bagley, Nora James and Nolan Glass; and his close friends, Amy Maat, Curt and Tonya Zoet.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Fellowship Reformed Church (2165 W Lakewood Blvd, Holland, MI 49424). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
