He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerrit Kruithof and Hattie Kruithof (Dozeman); his siblings-in-law, Verna Ryzenga (Gordon), Edith Berghorst (Bern) and Amy Strabbing (Don); his son-in-law Lloyd DeKoster; his parents-in-law, Lewis and Ann Vanden Bosch; his brother-in-law Art Barkel; and his great grandchildren, Maya and Leah Vander Kooi.
He is survived by: his wife Lucille; his children, Deb Bosch (Jack), Diane Vander Kooi (Denny), Dan Kruithof, Dawn Payne (Michael) and Dean Kruithof; and his siblings-in-law, Phyllis Barkel, Bob Vanden Bosch (Shirley) and Barb Janssen (Cal). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Reformed Church Adult Ministries or to Spectrum Health Hospice.
