He was predeceased by: his wife Lori Vander Zwaag; his daughter Rhonda Ann Vander Zwaag; his brother Justin; his sister-in-law Betty Jo Vander Zwaag; his sister Janet Van Staalduinen; and his parents-in-law, Donna, Ed Smith, Paul and Joyce Barkel.
He is survived by: his children, Kristi, Allan Looman, Rebecca Steggerda, Scott and Judy Vander Zwaag; his siblings, Roger and Lettie Vander Zwaag of Memphis, TN; and his brother-in-law Martin Van Staalduinen. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association of Michigan.
