He is survived by: his wife Nelda; his children, Kirk Briggs (Portia), Cynthia Frizzell (Todd), Curt Van Duren (Sue), Mike Briggs and Jennifer Webbert (Scott); his grandchildren, Lindsey MacKechnie (Bill), Kristin Lemmen (Ethan), Hope Everse (Nick), Christopher St (Monique), Emily Buckingham (Ralph), Justin Nordyke, Jordan Nordyke, Emily Newell (Dan) and Melissa Strengholt; his great grandchildren, Abbygayle, Greyson, Charles, Christov, Ronin, Gemma and Brooks; his sister Nancy Briggs-McBain; and his siblings-in-law, John Zomermaand (Jan), Randy Zomermaand (Debbie), Les Zomermaand, Conley Zomermaand (Patricia), Mike Zomermaand (Barb) and Barb Wehrmeyer (Dan). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
