She was predeceased by : her parents, Hjalmer Anderson and Hilda Anderson (Seppala); her great grandchildren, Carlee, Rylan and Tage Seppanen; her son-in-law Jay Seppanen; her stepfather Leo Niemi; her siblings, Mildred Maki, Helen Kinnunen, Margaret Markham, Reino and Melvin; and her siblings-in-law, Eleanor Anderson, James Markham and Art Maki.

She is survived by : her husband Milton Erva; her children, Joanne Pennala (George), Marilyn Haapapuro (Brian), Sue Laajala (Mike), Dennis Erva (Betsa), Jennifer Barhorst (Marvin), Colleen Erva, Michael Erva (Noreen) and Jason Erva (Kelly); her brother Marvin Anderson (Margie); and her siblings-in-law, Shirley Anderson and Peter Kinnunen. She is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
