He is survived by: his wife Marion Wade; his children, Greg Halek (Peter Krahe), Jeff Halek, Kim Sheckler (Jeff), Val Smiley (Steve), Cindy Penny (Dale), Vince Halek (Deanne), Gary Halek (Michelle), Ben Halek, Robin Slavsky (Bob) and Kristin Chapman (Dave); his sister Rita Macklin; his son Daniel Halek; and his sister Marie Brody. He is also survived by his 20 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in Ben's name are suggested to Juvenile Diabetes in honor of his family who battle diabetes.
