He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Ackels and Carrie Ackels (Schaub). He is survived by: his wife Rhoda Ackels; his children, Rhonda, Renee and Russell; his grandchildren, Sean, Erica, Kyle and Ana; and his great grandchildren, Myla and Tessa.
