He was predeceased by: his parents, Nora Grace and John Arthur McMahon, Sr.; and his siblings, Harry McMahon and Jean Hall. He is survived by: his wife Ann; his daughters, Cathy Hadden (Timothy) and Beth McMahon (Sam); his grandsons, Justin Hadden, Nicholas Loiacano and Spencer Loiacano; and his sister Lois Watson.
