He is survived by: his wife Sandra Wells; his children, Kevin (Jennifer), Jeff (Robin) and Karrie; his grandchildren, Lauren (Andrew), Mitch (Jamie), Kelsey and Graydon; his great grandchild Owen; and his brother Dennis (Ingrid).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
