He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Sr. and Evelyn Bain; his wife Rose Edna Bain; his sister Betty Murphy; and his grandson Matthew David Bain.
He is survived by: his children, Ann Bain of Howell, Thomas Bain (Brenda) of Whittemore, David Bain (Kim) of Rockford, Jeff Bain (Gayle) of Katy, TX, Dennis Bain of Katy, TX and Jon Bain (Tina) of Howell; his siblings, Arlene Hoover of Lansing, Francis Davis of Howell, George Bain (Joyce) of Howell, Ralph Bain of Georgia and Linda Richter of Linden; and his grandchildren, Jacob Bain, Angela McClanahan, Andy Bain, Sarah Bain, Jessica Bain, Rebecca Clark, Mindi Harrington, Jennifer Bain, Amanda Bain, Hannah Bain and Daniel Bain.
