He was predeceased by : his parents, Adolph Degen and Martha Degen (Wilke); and his siblings, Herman Degen, Alfred Degen and Doris Siegert.
He is survived by : his wife Carol Ann Lobert; his children, Kevin Degen (Melissa) and Peggy Schaedig (Randall); his grandsons, Brandon Degen, Adam Degen, Zachary Schaedig and Justin Schaedig; and his brothers, Elmer Degen and Edwin Degen (Jane). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
