He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Kamps and Dorothy Kamps. He is survived by: his wife Jeannette; his children, Anne Rakosky, Emily, Eric Schroeder and Joshua Kamps; his stepson Brian Barrett; his grandchildren, Hayden, Gracie, Izzy, Ethan, Chloe and Ralyne; and his brothers, Bill (Molly Kamps) and Ron Kamps. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
