With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Norene Alma Hancock of Hudsonville, Michigan, who passed away on March 16, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Arthur DeKock and Ella DeKock; her stepmothers, Tina and Clarice DeKock; her husband Herman Lubbinge; and her siblings, Jerene Hoeksema and Arlyn DeKock.

She is survived by : her daughters, Eloise Mackus (Boyd), Collene Van Noord (Alan), Gwen VanTimmeren (Calvin) and Nancy Noteboom (Desmond); her grandchildren, Brandon Van Noord (Michelle), Joel Van Noord, Tony VanTimmeren (Liz), Andrew VanTimmeren (Tori), Laura Carlisle (Andy), Kirk Noteboom (Heather) and Luke Noteboom (Alison); her great grandchildren, Marin, Jasper, Elliot, Hazel, Olive, Jakob, Michaila, Nathan and Beckett; her great great grandchild Hudson; her stepchildren, Richard, Robert and Janice Hancock of Ontario; her sister Ilah VanKlompenberg; her sisters-in-law, Dolores DeKock and Martha Nydam; her friend Darlene Hollis (Brazilian); and also Eloina Bittencourt (Alexandre). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:15 PM at the Hillcrest Christian Reformed Church (3617 Hillcrest Rd, Hudsonville, MI 49426). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location.

Memorials in Norene's honor may be made to Corewell Health Hospice.
