She was predeceased by: her parents, Garrett VanLoozenoord and Hazel VanLoozenoord; her brother Wendal; and her sister-in-law Ruth VanLoozenoord. She is survived by: her husband Edward Steenwyk; her children, Nancy A. Winter, Paul Steenwyk and Marvin Steenwyk; and her siblings, Mary Branagan (Gilbert), Kenneth VanLoozenoord (Glenice), Adrian VanLoozenoord (Joan), Gordon VanLoozenoord (Sharon) and Dennis VanLoozenoord (Kathy). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
