She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Erwin Gelnaw and Mary Gelnaw; her husband Kevin Matthews; her sister Kathy Upton; and her children, Joseph Matthews, Mary Manley and Benjamen Matthews.

She donated to many charities, schools for children, especially, all through her life.
