He was predeceased by: his son Dean Honkala; and his great grandchild Harper A. Lequia. He is survived by: his wife Shirley A. Honkala (Koskela) of Ishpeming; his children, Ann Lequia (Tim) of Clarksburg, Calvin Honkala (Mary) of Ishpeming, Keith Honkala (Sonja) of Lantana, FL, Chris Honkala of Ishpeming and Neil Honkala (Stacy) of Hamilton, MT; and his daughter-in-law Susan Honkala of Lake Linden. He is also survived by 36 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
