He was predeceased by: his father Lawrence; his son Jimmy; and his parents-in-law, John Walker and Alma Walker. He is survived by: his children, John Silence (Courtney), Steven Silence (Jill) and Kathy Frost (Colin); his grandchildren, Ben Silence, Ryker Silence, Megan Frost and Norman Frost; his mother Dorothy Silence; and his sisters, Nancy Nelson and Carol Dyer (Mike). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
